School Trips
With 2 million LEGO® bricks under one roof, the sky’s the limit at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Manchester. It’s the ideal place to let your class experience a world of fun, creativity and imagination.
What we offer teachers
We offer teachers well-designed, well organised school trips that support the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 & 2. We also offer:
- free places for teachers
- free planning visits for teachers (prior to the main visit)
- pre-prepared Risk Assessments
- hands-on workshops designed by teachers
Our range of hands-on learning experiences, specifically designed for Key Stages 1 & 2, bring the worlds of maths, science and technology to life outside the classroom.

Prices from just £4 per child
School visits benefit from a price of just £4.00 per child, plus £1.50 per child for if you choose to add an educational workshop.
Workshops
Choose from 4 LEGO® school trip workshops, each devised by practising teachers and linked to the National Curriculum. We also provide workshop guides for teachers, which can be downloaded below.
Tall Towers (£1.50 per pupil)
Ages 4 – 10 | Design & Technology (KS 1 & 2)
Introduce your pupils to the design and engineering challenges behind the construction of really tall towers. Get them to build their own LEGO® skyscrapers and test them on our Earthquake Tables.
Tall Towers Junior (£1.50 per pupil)
Ages 3 – 4 | Design & Technology (KS 1 & 2)
Help your early years’ pupils learn how to follow directions, recognise shapes and patterns, and develop fine motor skills by building LEGO® towers of various shapes, colours and patterns.
Race Car Workshop (£1.50 per pupil)
Ages 7 – 10 | Design & Technology, Science and Mathematics (KS 1 & 2)
A fun, hands-on way to get pupils excited about mathematics and introduce them to basic physics. Pupils build LEGO® race cars, race them on a track, collect data, and use mathematics to calculate their car’s performance, while also learning about the forces that affect their cars.
New – MINILAND Tour (£1.50 per pupil)
Ages 5 – 10 | Design & Technology (KS 1 & 2)
See the iconic buildings of the North West and beyond built entirely from LEGO® bricks. MINILAND is a great location to observe and discuss the variety of buildings within the City, from Manchester Cathedral to Urbis and Salford Quays Bridge.
The local areas of Blackpool, the Peak District, and the Lake District are also recreated, proving a great resource for students to learn about their local geography and history. LEGO models are built under professional guidance from our Master Model Builder, using them as effective educational tools to encourage creativity, independent thought and team cooperation.
Students are motivated to find their own methods of problem solving, developing new skills and having fun without ever cracking open a book!
