Plan your visit

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre is a world of colour, creativity and fun for children aged 3-10. We offer a wealth of attractions, two rides, 4D cinema and more. A typical visit takes 2-3 hours, but you are welcome to stay as long as you like.

We would like to advise all guests that our centre is currently undergoing some Bricktacular changes. Some areas of the attractions will be closed for the duration of the refurb from the 5th of January, but worry not, we still have loads of amazing things to do!

All guests will receive a complimentary return ticket to visit us again when "Everything is aewsome" from April 2017.

Common questions

Why do I need to purchase my tickets in advance?

To ensure our guests have the best experience possible, we limit the number of visitors that can be in the Centre at one time. All guests buying tickets online or at the door are required to make a reservation for a time slot. By making a reservation, we are giving you the flexibility to plan your day.

Merlin Annual Pass Holders, LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Annual Pass holders and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE Manchester Annual Pass holders will not need to book in advance.

Where do we enter upon arrival?

Upon your arrival to the Centre, you will enter the "I Have Tickets" line at the start of your reservation. During peak times, there will be a team member present to assist you. Please have your confirmation available and the team member will direct you into the attraction to start your day!

If you have not reserved a ticket online, you will be required to reserve the next available time slot. Please enter the "I Need Tickets" line upon your arrival. You will enter the "I Have Tickets" line at the start of your reserved entry time.

The only way to guarantee your entry is to purchase your tickets in advance online.

Merlin Annual Pass Holders, LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Annual Pass holders and LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE Manchester Annual Pass holders will enter the “I Have Tickets” line and will go in the next available time slot.

What is the difference between reserved tickets and unreserved tickets?

Reserved tickets are any tickets purchased on our website or at the Centre. Unreserved tickets are tickets purchased or received from our third party partners or if you are using vouchers. Unreserved tickets enter the Centre as soon as possible when there are open reservations.

My time is in 7 minutes, and there is a small (or no) line, why can't we enter yet?

To ensure our guests have the best experience possible, we limit the number of visitors that can be in the Centre at one time. There are 15 minute windows between reservation times to control capacity in the attraction. This creates a better experience for all our guests.

Why are we reserving a time if there is still a line to get in?

During peak times, you may experience a short wait in the "I Have Tickets" line as guests enter the Centre. The first experience in the Centre is a live show that takes approximately 5 minutes. Guests may need to wait in line until the next show begins during their reservation time.

What if we are late for our reserved time?

Guests that are a half hour late or more for their reservation can enter the Centre as soon as there are open reservations.

What is the best time to visit?

Like any popular attraction we have to limit the number of guests at any one time. The best way of ensuring your child’s place is by booking your tickets in advance.

During peak times, we do tend to see a high visitor volume throughout the entire day. For non-peak times, the Attraction generally becomes quieter after 3:00pm.

Can adults visit LEGOLAND Discovery Centre without any children?

Sorry, no. Adults must be accompanied by children to enter LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre. We will host adult nights for our Adult Fans of LEGO® Evenings without children. Find out more here

Can children visit the Centre without an adult?

No, all children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

Are visits guided?

No. The centre is designed for guests to explore and enjoy on their own. The typical visit takes 2-3 hours, but you are welcome to stay for as long as you wish.

Is there anything we should know about the rides and play areas?

Yes. For the health and safety of our guests, our rides and play areas have the following requirements:

Can I bring my own food and drink?

We have a great café in the centre with a variety of food and snacks to choose from. We do allow guests to leave the centre and come back in if you wish to get food from the surrounding restaurants.

As we have limited seating available we don't encourage outside food in the centre as the seating is prioritised for our cafe guests. The only exception are guests who have specific dietary requirements, who are welcome to bring their own food into the centre.

Is the Centre suitable for disabled visitors / wheelchair users?

Yes, we are fully accessible for disabled visitors and wheelchair users.

Are your staff first aid trained?

Yes. We ensure that there are always staff members at the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre who are trained in first aid.

What about children younger than three?

Children under three are more than welcome to visit us and admission is complimentary for them. We are stroller friendly, with family bathrooms and diaper changing facilities available.

Can I leave the attraction and re-enter?

Once you enter the attraction, you leave and re-enter as many times as you would like to visit the Trafford Centre or to grab some lunch!
